Gaming consoles continue to improve making the quality of play better and better all of the time. As the systems advance and find ways to make play all the more realistic, gamers can become even more intimately involved in a game. This makes the games more fun and exciting to play and the Nintendo Wii is gaming systems that has taken that play to a whole new level with its inventive controllers that make a persons movements control the play on the screen.
These controllers sense movement and then relay that information to the game where it is then copied by a character in the game. These types of movement can really make the game feel more real especially in play that involves sports like the Nintendo Wii Bowling games that are offered.

Nintendo Wii Previews: The Good and the Bad

The new console from Nintendo is Wii. Here are some of the pros and cons from some of the many Nintendo Wii previews. This article tackles the good and bad sides of the Nintendo Wii.
The Good:
Some of the Nintendo Wii previews state the good side of the console is its revolutionary controller design. It offers unique motion sensitive options. It is compatible with all Nintendo GameCube games. It also has a built in SD for storage for viewing photos, and most of all, the price is not that bad for a revolutionary game console. Another Nintendo preview states that it can help non-gamers to stand up and try the game themselves. Some games lat you exercise as you play. It’s like you’re not playing a video game. It is very interactive. Playing games like Tennis, Baseball, Bowling, Golf, and Boxing.
The interaction between player and the game console is what makes the Nintendo Wii superior than other consoles. Many Nintendo Wii previews think highly of this game unit; the design, the innovative controllers which is called “the Wiimote” and most of all, the games. Most Nintendo Wii previews also stated that by downloading softwares, you can do a lot with the Wiimote, it can sound like a Jedi’s lightsaber just like star wars, and it can play notes and make it like a guitar. There are games that can be incorporated into the Wii. You can connect the Nintendo DS into the Wii and play “Pokemon Battle Revolution”. This is the first game to allow connectivity between the two game consoles.
The Bad:
With every good side comes the bad side. Here are some of the bad side of Nintendo Wii Previews: The Wiimote eats up battery life so fast that you have to change batteries often. It takes time to get used to the style of gameplay especially of you are a newbie to the gaming world. The package only comes with one Wiimote; you have to buy a separate one to play cooperative games. It lacks HD graphics and surround sound unlike Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PS3. It requires a wired Bluetooth receiver to be placed somewhere in front of the TV screen to interface with the remote controller, and most of all, it won’t play CD’s and DVD’s.
On some Nintendo Wii previews, Nintendo stated that they did not allow the Wii to have DVD playback. This was to lower the cost of the game console. There are some reports however that they are planning to release a version that plays DVD in Japan sometime soon. So you guys would have to wait and see.
Availability of the Nintendo Wii in the UK was Dismal, but is Improving

The Nintendo Wii has enjoyed phenomenal worldwide success since its release, and for good reason. This unique console is unlike anything the gaming community has ever seen. It uses motion-detecting technology to guide game play while delivering amazing graphics and realistic movement.
The console has suffered from availability problems in many countries all over the world, but Nintendo Wii UK availability has been particularly difficult. For a long time, Nintendo Wii UK preorders far outstripped the supply to shops.
At the time of the Nintendo Wii UK release, the waiting period went from a few weeks to a few months to indefinite. There were shops that would not promise future availability of the console because they simply could not predict when they would be able to stock it.
This all added up to Nintendo Wii UK gamers having to wait far longer for their consoles than gamers in other parts of the world. Many UK gamers tried everything possible to get their hands on a console. Some ended up paying ridiculously high prices for the consoles from people who had somehow managed to score one. The price they paid was often three times the retail price of the console.
However, now that the console’s availability is improving, it is possible to get a Nintendo Wii in the UK without waiting months on end for it. At some times, the availability is still quite low and it can take a while for a console to come into stock at the corner gaming shop. However, the situation is much improved over this time last year.
UK Gamers Love the Wii
Needless to say, Nintendo Wii UK gamers are just as attached to their consoles as gamers in every other part of the world have been since first laying eyes on the beautiful little machine. Many games have a UK release date that is several months after the US release date, so there is still an element of breathless waiting every time a new title is due to come out.
The sales of the Nintendo Wii in the UK have been extremely strong, and many gamers seem to prefer it over other platforms. However, most UK gamers have struck a balance between the Wii and one or two other consoles; they have specific games that they like better on one platform or another, so they keep both in their home.
Nintendo Wii Play is an Awesome Game

There are many games to choose from, but Nintendo Wii Play is my personal favorite. None of the games out there offer the extensive replay ability of Nintendo Wii Play. It has a collection of games that goes beyond addictive and all of the games are suitable for any age player. This article will go over all the different games for Nintendo Wii Play, describing what they are and what features they have.
The first game players have a chance to try in Nintendo Wii Play is the Shooting Range. This game is a basic shooting game and players can pick off balloons, UFO’s, ducks and even other players Mii’s – their in game representations. It’s a fun game with a high replay factor and good for head to head matches.
Next up on our tour is Find Mii. This game is kind of like a video game version of Where’s Waldo? with players having to search and find certain like Mii’s in a crowd. Multi and single player versions are available, but this is not one of the more fun games in Nintendo Wii Play.
Next up is Table Tennis. In this fast paced game you and your friends battle each other in games of ping pong. Head to head or single player is available. The single play mode is extremely fun although overall replay value for this game is pretty low. It is fun to play against your friends, but lacks the options of Wii Tennis.
Pose Mii is the next game, and while this game is fun and addicting it is a little childish. It is very much like Tertris except with Mii’s. You have to position and line up your Mii to burst bubbles before they hit the ground. If three hit the ground the game is over. Multi player mode is a head to head match with a scoring system.
Laser Hockey is one of my favorite games in Nintendo Wii Play. This game is basically a futuristic version of air hockey. Head to head and single play modes are available, and head to head verses your friends is a lot of fun.
Next up is my personal favorite game available in Nintendo Wii Play – Fishing! I can not tell you how addictive this game is. I could spend hours and hours playing it, and the funny thing is I hate fishing in real life. This game has a very high replay factor, and an even higher relaxation factor.
Billiards is the next offering available on Nintendo Wii Play. Players can compete against each other or the computer in several different pool games.
By far the weirdest of the bunch is Charge! In this game players attempt to knock down large cows by charging at them.
The final game is Tanks! This game is a tank simulator that players can play against each other or against the computer. This game has a high replay factor and over one hundred boards to conquer. So as you can see with all these different games, Nintendo Wii Play has a lot to offer.
Getting Active With Nintendo Wii Sports

We all like to play different types of games on a game console. From action to shooting games, and driving games to platform thrillers, there is certainly plenty to choose from and something to please everyone. But one of the best options there is has to be the Nintendo Wii sports option. This console has plenty to offer in the way of virtual exercise, and depending on what kind of activities you enjoy, you could be playing tennis, golf or even challenging your friends to a good natured game of baseball. It’s all included in the Nintendo Wii sports package.
What Makes The Nintendo Wii Sports Package Different?
You might be thinking that if you have seen one games console then you’ve seen them all, but that isn’t the case here. You aren’t limited to holding a controller with lots of buttons, where you have to struggle to think what each one is for and you end up pausing the game several times to re-read the manual.
Nintendo Wii sports are a little different from that, and you’ll soon find yourself up off the sofa and playing like there’s no tomorrow – especially where the tennis is concerned. The Nintendo Wii sports controller is actually more like a remote, and there is a minimal number of buttons on it too. That makes life easier right from the start, allowing you to get straight into the game without trying to remember what you are supposed to be doing.
But that’s not all. You will also notice that instead of trying to control the racket of your on screen tennis player using a combination of buttons that it would probably take you days to memorize, all you need to do is swing it. The Nintendo Wii sports package actually lets you use the remote like the sports equipment your particular on screen game is using. If you are attempting to hit your gold ball onto the green, just swing the remote like you would if it were a golf club. Just make sure no one is standing behind you first!
Getting You Into The Game
The Nintendo Wii sports package has something for everyone, regardless of what kind of sports you enjoy. But perhaps the best thing about it is that you can be playing great tennis (well okay, average tennis depending on your skill…) with your friends’ just minutes after unpacking the box.
Now that’s certainly something to look forward to.
Should Nintendo Wii Sports Bundle Be Unbundled?

The Nintendo Wii has gained notoriety since its launching in the four key markets in December of 2006. The concept of the Wii was first spoken of during the E3 press conference in 2004. Later, it was unveiled at the 2005 E3 when Satoru Iwata showed a prototype of the controller at the Tokyo Game Show in 2005.Since it was first made available in the states in November of 2006 the Nintendo Wii sports bundle is selling like pancakes. Kids and adults alike are raving about how cool the Nintendo Wii Sports Bundle is. During its debut in the 2006 E3, Nintendo Wii won the Best Hardware and Best of Show Awards from the Game Critics Awards. Every reputable gaming magazine is also hailing the Wii as the game console breakthrough. The Wii even got an Emmy from The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for Game Controller Innovation.
Why Is Wii So Popular?
The question that begs to be answered is: Why is Wii so popular? What does Wii have that PS3 and XBOX360 can’t simply surpass its fan base?
The media has been whining about how our kids are getting unhealthier by the day, due to technology (i.e. video games) so Nintendo came up with the revolutionary gaming console that is Nintendo Wii. Inadvertently it seems that aside from addressing the dilemma of our kids becoming couch potatoes Nintendo Wii has provided interactive gaming that makes the player feel like he or she is really in the game.
The most motivating factor in the rise of the Wii is the Nintendo Wii Sports Bundle. They sell the console together with 5 cool sports game. You can really express yourself when you play the Wii.
The Unbundling
Unfortunately we’ve been seeing some analysts propose that the Nintendo Wii Sports be unbundled. Why you may ask? Well their line of reasoning revolves around the suggestion that if you break the Nintendo Wii sports bundle the price of the console itself which is currently $249 can be lowered to $199 to make it “more affordable”. In addition the analyst is insinuating that the Nintendo Wii Sports bundle sales are heading for a decline and that if it is unbundled then it should grow strong again by 2009.
First of all Wii’s popularity is due to the fact that it is being sold as a bundle. Second, how can the Nintendo Wii Sports Bundle be heading into decline when, even as we speak, Nintendo is scrambling to fill in all the orders. The demand is exceeding the available supply albeit the 1.8 million consoles Nintendo is shelling out a month.
Lastly Nintendo Wii Sports bundle is so popular not only with the younger demographics but also the older ones. Some people are even saying that they don’t buy any other games after purchasing a Nintendo Wii sports bundle. Why mess with a good thing, when people are perfectly happy with the Nintendo Wii sports Bundle just as it is?

In the past, games controllers have been something to relax and unwind with after a hard day’s work. You might play a particular game with a friend if the game allowed for it, and if your friend happened to drop in when you were playing it, but for the most part it was a solitary activity.
But that isn’t the case any more. Thanks to the Nintendo Wii friends bundle you can plan an evening’s gaming in advance, and make a real event of it. The Nintendo Wii friends bundle makes it possible to take gaming to a whole new level, and actually organize an evening around it.
So Why Is The Nintendo Wii Friends Bundle Worth Buying?
It’s worth the money simply because of what you get in the package. The Nintendo Wii friends bundle comes complete with four controllers so you can all get your own slice of the action, without having to share controllers with anyone else.
You also get five sports games, so if you lose at one there is bound to be another one you can beat your friends at. Try your hand at tennis, forming two teams and playing a heated doubles match full of action and dubious shot making skills, or for something a little more sedate you could try your hand at a spot of bowling. Whatever kind of sport you are into, the Nintendo Wii friends bundle will introduce you to a whole new experience.
Making The Most Of It
Once you have got your Nintendo Wii friends bundle, why not organize a regular evening in to enjoy your new toy?
It’s a great way to get together and enjoy each other’s company, while winding down from a hectic day at work. If you plan things properly you can take it in turns to meet up at each other’s houses, and bring the food and drink each time as well. If each person agrees to bring an item of food with them, you can enjoy snacks and nibbles at the same time as playing a doubles match!
The Nintendo Wii friends bundle is clearly designed to bring people together to enjoy the best gaming experience currently available. While it is a little expensive you can get some great deals on it, and you could even all chip in together if you know you will be getting a lot of use out of it together.

The Nintendo Wii is unlike any other gaming console ever seen. It is small, powerful, features beautiful graphics and intuitive game play, and is even helping people to lose weight and get fit by encouraging them to get out of their seats to play.
Many Different Ways to Interact with Games
So far, the games for Nintendo Wii have made outstanding use of the creative technology and unique motion-sensitive controllers. One of the first games for Nintendo Wii was Wii Sports, which incorporates the controller in such an intuitive way that it is easy to just pick up and play, even for people who have never before used the system.
In Wii Sports, the controllers act as a tennis racket, a golf club, a bowling ball launcher, and boxing gloves. This game is wildly fun for people of all ages and even helped a lot of gamers increase their level of fitness.
Other games for Nintendo Wii that have proved to be very popular are first-person shooting games. Because the controller can be pointed directly at the screen and used as a gun, the game play is brilliantly natural. You no longer have to concentrate on which button controls what; you simply point and shoot.
Even driving games for Nintendo Wii have been quite successful. Your Wii controller can be used as a steering wheel to control your car, making it a powerful and accurate way to get around in your game.
Other games for Nintendo Wii require you to turn the Wii remote horizontally to use in a fashion similar to classic game controllers. Even this action is well suited to the Wii remote and feels completely natural in your hands.
Some games for Nintendo Wii forgo the standard controllers all together and use special input devices. Some music-based games, for example, use input devices that are specific to that game – a guitar, microphone, or drum set made especially for Wii games can be used to interact with your game in a completely new and creative way.
There will, no doubt, be many new games for Nintendo Wii in the future that use the Wii remote in special ways. There will also be many more games with specialized controllers. The Wii has quickly become the gamers’ favorite new machine, and there’s no doubt that future generations and innovations will keep the dedicated Wii fans happy and satisfied for many years to come.
